Trading backtesting on real candles, without knowing how it ends
FX Backtest stops the chart at the date you choose and lets you trade candle after candle, as if the market were open. It is the fastest way to test your rules on months of market, without risking a cent.
How a session works
Name the session, choose the instrument, the start date and the capital. The chart stops there: the following candles arrive one at a time, when you press forward or in playback at 0.5×, 1×, 3×, 10× or 30× speed. The session saves itself and you pick it up whenever you like, from where you left off.
Instruments and timeframes
Twenty-eight forex pairs, gold, silver, US30 and NAS100. Timeframes go from 1 minute to monthly: 1, 5, 15 and 30 minutes, 1, 2 and 4 hours, daily, weekly and monthly.
- On 1 minute you can go back about four weeks.
- On 5, 15 and 30 minutes about eight weeks.
- On 1, 2 and 4 hours almost two years.
- On daily, weekly and monthly about twenty years.
Orders like on a real platform
You can enter at market or with limit and stop orders, set stop loss and take profit and move them by dragging them on the chart. Risk is chosen as a percentage or an amount and the simulator works out the lots itself. On the chart you have about forty indicators, futures volume for metals and indices, and a button to hide your drawings and look at clean price.
Why it is an honest simulator
A historical candle records open, high, low and close, not the order in which prices were touched. When a candle contains both the stop and the target, the simulator counts the stop: it is the worst case, and the only one that does not make you believe you are better than you are. Likewise every trade pays a spread on entry and exit, because a simulator without costs produces results that do not exist in reality.
Where the candles come from
Forex candles are market candles; for gold, silver and indices the simulator uses futures prices, which have real volume but can differ by a few points from your broker's CFD quotes. For practising price reading the difference does not matter; for measuring a spread to the cent it does, and it is worth knowing.
Session statistics
Every simulated trade goes into the session log, with filters and a statistics tab: you immediately see whether your rules hold over a hundred trades or only worked on the ones you remembered. Simulated trades stay here and do not enter your trading journal.
Frequently asked questions
Is it an automatic backtest?
No, FX Backtest is manual: you decide every trade, as you would live. If you want to test precise rules automatically, there are the AI strategies, which backtest the rules on historical data.
Is it an alternative to FX Replay?
The principle is the same: the chart stops in the past and you move it forward. The difference is that here the simulator is included in the same subscription as the courses, indicator, journal and AI assistant.
Will backtest results match my live results?
No. Live, the spread, the execution and above all the pressure of having real money at stake change. The backtest helps you see whether the rules make sense and trains your eye; it does not predict a profit.
Pricing
One subscription with everything included: €39 for one month, €99 for three months, €179 for six months, €329 for twelve. You pay in USDT or USDC and it does not renew automatically.
